Kapsa, Brenda

I want to extend a warm welcome for the 2016-2017 school year here at Lincoln Middle School. I look forward to getting to know you and your student. We will work together to capitalize on your student's strengths, improve areas where challenges exist, and provide your student every opportunity for a successful school year.

I graduated from the University Of North Texas in Denton, Texas with a Master's Degree in Education.  I am the mother of 5 wonderful children, ages 13-25. Some of my favorite hobbies include dancing, crafting, and photography. My passion is helping children discover their unique talents and develop a love for learning.

Along with myself, there is a paraprofessional in the class who will be assisting and monitoring students throughout their daily activities. If you have any questions, please direct them to me, as the paraprofessional will always refer you to me as well.

When there are grade level activities that affect the whole campus (field trips, assemblies, etc.), every effort is made to ensure that the students are included in the activities for their grade level when appropriate. Additional supervision and support are given when needed to make sure the student receives benefit from the activity.

All students in our class will be attending 7th grade lunch (11:52-12:22). Support is available to students and they are monitored during lunch time.

The following is a list of supplies that your student will need:

-(2) 3-ring binders 2 inch

-(2) packages of wide-ruled paper

-(2) packages of pencils

-(1) package of erasers

-(2) boxes of Kleenex

-(2) bottles of hand sanitizer

-(3) composition notebooks

A list of computer learning programs which students are encouraged to access at home, along with any needed user names and passwords, has been sent home in your student's communication notebook. Links for these websites are available on the left side of this page.

My conference time is 2:02-2:50pm, please feel free to contact me anytime.  Just leave a message with the main office at (915) 231-2180, email me at
blkapsa@episd.org, use the "Contact Me" tab on the left side of this page, or use the daily communication notebook. We will use our planners each day to record assignments, homework, and other information. This way parents can support and encourage their students to reach their full potential in school this year. Please read, encourage students to complete homework, and sign the planner daily.

Thank you,

Brenda Kapsa
